Over the years, AJEEC alumni have forged their paths in a variety of fields, pursuing academia, professions, entrepreneurship, and leadership within their communities. Today, the AJEEC alumni network is a broad community of young adults from across Israel whose paths started with AJEEC and developed into diverse experiences, trajectories, and successes. They are continuing to learn, work, lead, and make a difference. Each year, around 900 graduates of AJEEC gap years join the alumni network, widening the community, strengthening its presence, and allowing it to deepen its impact.
As AJEEC alumni continue their paths, AJEEC continues supporting them in the life stages after completing a gap year—around decisions and transitions in the field of academia, employment, and professional life. AJEEC’s work with alumni is a continuation of the work with young adults after their completion of a gap year, through a variety of programs and frameworks adapted for the changing needs of young adults during their life path. That work includes opportunities for learning and development and support in young adults’ academic and professional paths, and relationship building and networking, alongside opportunities for leadership within the community.
Support is determined according to the needs of each alumnus and their specific life stage. With that in mind, the support frameworks combine personal and group support and allow each alumnus to receive assistance personalized to their own academic and professional path, as well as their own personal development. That assistance includes scholarships and financial support for academic studies, and academic and professional guidance, alongside workshops, training and enrichment sessions, opportunities to learn and share knowledge and experience and relationship building and networking. This support continues to strengthen the alumni’s abilities, their place in the community, and their ability to make a difference.

AJEEC alumni are supported through a variety of programs and frameworks that provide individualized support for their various life stages and paths:
AJEEC on Campus: A program to support AJEEC alumni throughout their academic studies. AJEEC on Campus provides a social and professional home at the academic institution, alongside personal guidance to assist AJEEC alumni in integrating into academic life and taking advantage of the opportunities and resources at their disposal.
Darbak: A training program that aims to develop a pipeline of professionals prepared to integrate into careers in informal education, through experiential learning, hands-on experience, and research and development tracks throughout the year.
The training is based on the principle of learning through doing. Sessions combine frontal learning with trips, research, and practical experience, over the course of 140 hours. Participants receive an annual scholarship of 10,000 shekels. The learning process is based on processing information, asking questions, and providing opportunities for hands-on experience. Through this process, participants can develop and acquire in-depth knowledge, allowing them to more successfully and effectively integrate into the field of informal education.
Sabil Leadership Institute Alumni: A framework of continuous support for alumni of the Sabil Leadership Institute, which takes place over the course of two years and combines personal and group support with continued participation in Sabil activities and events. The program consists of academic and professional mentorship, support in developing one’s personal and professional path, and meaningful community initiatives that strengthen the alumni’s roles within their communities and allow them to contribute.
Annual Alumni Conference: An annual conference for AJEEC alumni, alongside a series of webinars, provides a framework for AJEEC alumni from across the country to meet each other, network, and build relationships, while sharing knowledge and experiences and gaining tools and skills that support them on their academic and professional paths.
