We believe that teenagers and youth are the main resource for achieving equality and promoting the Arab society in Israel. Like the rest of their community, young Arab men and women face multiple challenges, including educational gaps, lack of government infrastructure and services, relatively low employment rates, a rising phenomenon of violence, and more. Many of these youth are at risk.
However, these young men and women are the ones who will lead the far-reaching changes that Arab society is going through and the opportunity for a better future lies in their hands. We are here to help them be prepared for that.
Through the Shabibat AJEEC Youth Movement, a variety of gap year programs which include volunteering in the community alongside preparation for academic studies and employment, and strengthening our alumni network, we are preparing young men and women for better integration into general society and promoting equality between Arabs and Jews in Israel.
